It’s a laugh-a-minute around here!

If you need a good pick-me-up, give these videos a little click! LB was in an even happier mood than usual today, so enjoy him along with us! :-) I think this is the sound I’ll hear in heaven one day.

I say, “Poe-tay-toe,” you say, “Poe-tah-toe,” LB says, “Boo hoo hoo!”

This first clip shows one of LB’s first experiences with potatoes:

And the second clip shows him enjoying his regular eats, and then really showing everyone his pure delight at having even more potato. :-(

Laundry helper no more!

Back on March 8, I posted about how helpful little LB was with laundry. Remember that cute little picture with him in the laundry basket? (I KNOW you do!) Well, I think he’s about to be banned from helping with the laundry. When you have a couple of minutes, check out this video. Not only is he having WAY too much fun with my under garments, but if you wait long enough to see him stand up and sit down a few times by the laundry basket, you can hear him SNORT!!! Ahhhh, he’s truly my child. (And Enrique’s, no doubt!)

It’s official!

We now have crawling!!! Go, LB, go!!!

Just plain licked

One of the greatest things about having babies around is watching them discover things about themselves. Sometimes they figure out a new skill or discover a body part for the first time, and they’re so intrigued, but the fascination doesn’t always last long. We knew when LB discovered the joy of his tongue this week we needed to get it recorded quickly! Enjoy!

Guess what?

I’m six months old today! Can you believe it? I can…guess what I’ve been up to…

  • Still growing out of all my clothes
  • Still working on sleeping through the night, but I still need a middle of the night feeding
  • Laughing
  • Chatting (my new favorite word is “Ahbwah.” Say it with me, “Ahbwah!” Very good!)
  • Eating my first foods
  • Sitting up
  • Falling over to reach for toys and finding myself in lots of fun new positions
  • Chewing on everything
  • Shrieking
  • Being the absolute joy and light in my parents’ lives (and probably my grandparents’ too!)

Now I know a lot of you haven’t seen me in full-on laugh mode. I am full of smiles, but it takes that little extra something special to make me laugh. Like Daddy kicking Max’s play cube. Take a look…

And by the way, I also am learning how to play soccer. Handy that my Guatemalan family is here with me now. They’re experts at soccer. Here is Mamita helping me learn…

I’m sure I’ll be doing many more things in the next 6 months. Hopefully I’ll have had lots more fun with my cousin, the other LB, and my new cousin to come in September. Thanks for visiting my blog and watching me grow. I love you!

The many adventures of Wessie the Hobbit?

That is what seems to happen when you put black socks on a baby with a bad case of sweaty feet … or feets as my wife calls it …
