Tonight, after LB was soundly asleep in his crib (or so we thought), I kept hearing songs from his GloWorm playing. Now any of you who know your GloWorms know that they only play one song at a time, and each song is played by pressing on Glo’s belly. So either LB was up there playing with Glo, or he was up there laying on Glo while sleeping soundly. Since I couldn’t imagine the first scenario happening without a whimpering LB, I decided to go investigate. Indeed, LB was sound asleep on his belly with Glo tucked tightly under his right arm. As Enrique and I gazed at this adorableness, he moved ever so slightly, sending Glo into a sweet rendition of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” Life is good!

Just bloggin’
I know what you’re thinking…”Enough with the blogs already!” I just can’t help it. To be in my house in the middle of the day, ready access to the ever-blogged-about one, I’ve got lots of material. I just hope you’re enjoying all the updates! Do YOU read this blog as much as I do???
Little LB is cutting some upper teeth! I discovered them when we were playing an upside-down game (much to daddy’s dislike…but it certainly did help me locate the chompers-to-be). So it’s a little fussy, and little cranky, a little clingy, but still a whole lot of fun around here. Last night, LB actually had a little fever, so it was Tylenol to the rescue, and a good night’s sleep.
Actually, I’ve been really pleased with how well LB has been sleeping the past several nights. We were going through a rough patch about a week ago, and previous to that, we were at Grandma and Grandpa’s for an extended stay, so everything was a little out of the routine. But the little guy has been doing a good job of sleeping straight through until about 3 or 4, then needing a feeding, then back to bed until a sane waking time. I’d say that’s pretty good!
And we had a rough stretch today, as he’s now trying to nap all on his own, and exhausts himself crying first only to nap for about half an hour. NOT long enough for a teething baby. Soooooo, I swaddled him up for a long afternoon nap today. Voila…The Snorer:
Grand lullaby discovery
I got on iTunes trying to find some Raffi and Disney songs, wanting to prepare some music for limabean.
Well, I came across something called Rockabye Baby! And it is awesome! I found many of the popular Guitar Hero and Rockband songs. So this is the awesome part of the story.
Now, on to the not so good, well I think my wife didn’t approve of some of the songs. For those of you who are not familiar with Rockabye Baby, well it is Lullaby renditions of artists like the Rolling Stones, Green Day, Coldplay, and AC/DC … this is where Rachel’s issue came, she didn’t say it … all that came was a “Hmmm”.
Yes, I did download old time favorites, now-turned-lullaby, like “Paint it Black” or how about the old time rocking favorite “Thunderstruck”.
Anyway, I just had to share.
