Dear Cus,

photo1

Hey, LB! I heard some great news…a tooth sprouting! Way to go man. Let’s root for ‘Ol Righty to come in now!

“Come on Righty, you’re our man {tooth}! If you can’t do it, no tooth can!”

By the way, cus, how about we make a little agreement not to bite each other? I mean, we’re going to have teeth coming in like crazy over the next, well, however long it takes. Agreed?

I miss you. Let’s get together again sometime soon.

Love,

The other LB

Dear Lori,

Dear Lori,

I’m flattered that you consider me World’s Cutest Baby. I’m wondering if my mom thinks this is true too. She can’t seem to leave me these days…she’s been hanging out with me almost all week. Although she does keep wiping our noses with this scratchy white paper. What is up with that? Is that supposed to make me cuter? Anyway, thanks for the awesome onesie! It’s one of my favorites. Time to go play now. Mom misses you…she hopes to see you tomorrow!

Love,

LB

Our first baby-cold

Well, little LB has been dealing with his first official cold. He came down with a low-grade fever last Wednesday evening. The poor little guy has developed a runny nose, coughs, and sneezes. Like everything else that he discovers, it’s fascinating watching him with all these new symptoms. He’s been really the picture of health since we came home from the hospital in October. Now he’s so baffled that there’s snot running down onto his lip–but he also dislikes having it wiped away or (gasp!) sucked out by the aspirator. Although we never like to laugh “at” our sweet baby, hearing, “Cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze, bleirshursssueh,” is kind of funny. {“Bleirshursssueh” apparently being baby-speak for, “Geez, what is wrong with me???”} Also humorous when in combination with a little baby gas. Admit it…you’d be laughing too if you had a cough-cough-sneeze-sneeze-toot combination!

So say a few prayers for our little LB to get over his malady soon. Also since you’re praying, his sitter and her sons are also down with the same cold, I think, so pray that they recover soon as well.

Thanks!

Lovin’ Cousins

The LBs got to be together this weekend. What a blessed event! Both of the little guys are finally old enough to really notice each other.

Mommy’s Little Helper

Any of you moms out there, or people who know moms, or people who have moms (okay, that’s all of you!), know how busy being a mom is. Lots to juggle…laundry, feedings, cleaning, sleep deprivation, not to mention keeping up with a job if you’ve got one. So it’s quite handy to have children who can help with the chores. We wanted to start little Lima Bean with chores early, so I’ve trained him to help with laundry already. See what a fine helper he is…

And with all that great help, we ended up with time to grab our hats and go for a walk outside. Like mother, like son…

Welcome, Spring!

I know the unseasonably warm weather won’t last just yet, but how much fun we have taking advantage of it!!! It was above 70 degrees today and quite breezy. A beautiful day to spend outside soaking up some sun and getting much fresh air. We hope this becomes a daily activity, but we have to count on the weather to cooperate.

In our neighborhood, they have a cute little play place for kids. Lima Bean and I stopped mid-walk to check out the little play park. The slide…WAY fun!!  (Okay, we really didn’t go down the slide, since LB’s too little, and I’m too big.) But sitting at the bottom was fun, just like all new things!

And we took full advantage of the baby swing. Weeeeeeeee!!!!!! LB likes this one better than his Pooh swing at home!
